As Marketing Manager Carol was responsible for all marketing and PR which included launching a new corporate identity, developing direct marketing activity to support the sales force, commissioning market research and managing attendance at major computer exhibitions as well as setting up and administering the marketing database. This
role increased Carols continued interest in, and understanding of,
business-to-business marketing and computer software and its practical
applications. At EHS Brann she rose to become Client Group Director
responsible for the strategic development of major financial accounts
including Friends Provident, Norwich Union, Cheltenham & Gloucester Building
Society and Zurich, also business-to-business accounts including DHL and
Mill House Inns (part of the Grand Metropolitan Group). Carol also led the
launch of Colonial Direct which included setting customer service standards
for the telephone sales teams. As well as managing her own team of 30 Account
Handlers, she was part of the management team that ran the EHS Brann Client
Services department. Having gained in-depth marketing, research, management
and business skills she set up Purple Parrot with Rowena Lane in 1999 to
provide professional marketing and research support to private and public
sector clients. Carol has diplomas in Business Studies and Direct Marketing. |
